Cara Burger

Cara's accounting career started at High School, where she demonstrated a natural flair for figures and bookkeeping. After her first year of studying her Bachelor of Business, Accounting at Central Queensland University, CQU, the opportunity to work as a Trainee Accountant in Mackay became available. An opportunity she jumped at to learn the ropes, while completing her Accounting degree by distance education. After graduation she continued as an full time Accountant until she started her family. 

Cara moved to Barcaldine in 2010 where her family continued to grow. While raising her young family, Cara continued to work providing bookkeeping services for a range of small businesses and volunteering with not for profit organisations.

Cara commenced working with Walsh Accounting in April 2013 and is in charge of the general accounting work for clients, excelling in assisting clients with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.

Cara is a very talented and creative individual. She also initiated and organised community workshops for singing and the dramatic arts. Cara's commitment to the Barcaldine cultural scene extends to volunteering as Treasurer of the Barcaldine Arts Council Inc.
