Client portal - A better way to send, receive and sign documents

Walsh Accounting have installed a portal to enhance our service - offering a safer way to share documents and data, while giving clients a more convenient way to sign documents.

Benefits to clients include:

  • Unprecedented access to data, such as financial statements and income tax returns
  • Access to relevant documents 24/7
  • Better security than email
  • Easier transfer of files to us – no need to deliver your accounting data file or scanned documents to our office, simply upload from your location
  • Ability to sign documents electronically and have the signed document automatically sent back to us

A lot of clients have already jumped on board which has been fantastic - if you would like to know more please check out our Client Portal page on our Walsh Accounting website and if this is something you would like to start using please contact us.

Client Portal Upgrade - for existing client portal users.

Walsh Accounting's client portal has undergone a recent upgrade. The client portal now uses AdobeSign technology, which will offer a more steamlined process when digitally signing documents.

To summarise, the changes include:

  • no more need for PIN numbers
  • no more need to sign in with a password just to sign a document

Please take some time to review the instructions for the new Adobe signing process

Hopefully you will find this change an improvement. If you have any questions please call the office and ask to speak to Kylie and she can talk you through the new process.

Email Security

Walsh Accounting's recent email attack is a timely reminder that we all need to trying to stay ahead of (or at least quickly catch up to) the hacker's strategies.

Being in the finance industry, Walsh Accounting is a target for hackers and that is why we invest in systems and technology to protect our clients and our business. Our client portal is one such example.

This investment paid off with our recent attack being identified and contained very quickly by our IT provider. Our systems and procedures have been further strengthened by this event, but there is no doubt that we will be tested in the future.

As we have done in the past we urge clients to please be very cautious of all emails and unsolicited calls asking you for personal information or payment. Having strong password practices is also another important line of defence.

Check out this video explaining How to create a strong password.

If you have any questions about how we protect our clients information or how you can better protect your own email please contact us.
